Jim Bailey

Jim Bailey grew up in Raleigh and attended Woodberry Forest School. He then went on to graduate from Duke University. He has been involved as both the developer and owner of Commercial & Residential Real Estate for more than 40 Years. He and his wife, Katherine, had been “second home” owners in Atlantic Beach before making it their permanent home more than 25 years ago. Jim & Katherine live on the sound front in Atlantic Beach with their son.
Jim is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City, having served as both an Elder and Deacon. He also serves on the Boards of a number of local charities including the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, and the Big Rock Foundation. He also served two terms on the Atlantic Town Board. He is an active pilot as well as boater.
